Birthlight is a friendly charity and teacher-training organisation focusing on the holistic approach to pregnancy, birth and babyhood. Birthlight aims to enhance the wellbeing of women and their partners through the journey of pregnancy and birth, helping parents and infants relax in shared enjoyment of their new life together. Birthlight uses body-based practices inspired from yoga and traditional modes of parenting supported by scientific research and in depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

As the focus on pregnancy and birth becomes increasingly medical and science based, Birthlight works in partnership with mainstream healthcare to ensure the physical and emotional nurturing of pregnant women and their families. From pre-conception to the third year, parents can join Birthlight classes and create what Birthlight refers to as ‘an expanding spiral of joy and wellbeing’.
